More Than a Centre
The events, causes and people the Cherubs family gets behind.
Cherubs is owned and run by Lisa and Ben Peasley. We’re born and bred Tweed locals and these days we live halfway between our two centres, so both communities are home to us.
This region raised us and we want to give back to it. For us that means backing local sporting teams, supporting the schools our Cherubs graduate into, rolling up our sleeves for charity events, and investing in our Educators so the best people in the industry want to build their careers here.
Where the Cherubs name turns up around here
Charity events
Every year our Cherubs family takes on the SkyPoint Sea to Sky Q1 Stair Challenge, climbing 1,331 stairs in support of LIVIN and their message that it ain’t weak to speak. In 2026 we stepped up as a premium sponsor, bringing 100 climbers from across both centres and hosting our families for a morning tea at the top. Mental health touches every family, including ours, and this is a cause we’ll keep showing up for.
Our ambassador
We’re proud to partner with Joel Taylor, para surfing world champion and Lennox Head local. Joel’s story is one of resilience, grit and finding a way forward, values we want every Cherubs child to grow up around. We’re backing Joel on his journey to defend his world title and towards the Brisbane 2032 Games.
Local schools
School readiness doesn’t end at our gate. We work closely with the local schools our children move on to, including Banora Point Public School right across the road from our Banora centre, so the step from preschool to big school feels like a natural one for every child and family.
Sporting teams
Weekend sport is where this community comes together, and we’re proud to get behind local clubs and junior teams across the Tweed and Nerang. If you see the Cherubs name on a jersey or a banner at your local ground, come and say g’day.
Our Educators
Community starts inside our own walls. We invest heavily in our Educators through professional development, further qualifications and genuine career pathways, because the best outcomes for children come from a team that feels valued and wants to stay.
