Experience the Magic of Cherubs Nerang
Some decisions you think your way through. This one you feel.
The moment you walk through our door at Cherubs Nerang, something shifts. You see a child absorbed in play, an Educator crouched down at their level, genuinely interested in what they have to say. You feel the warmth of a place that was built for children and run by people who chose this work because they love it.
We open our doors at 6:00am Monday to Friday, earlier than any other centre in Nerang, because we understand that families come in all shapes and with all kinds of schedules. Whether you are a nurse heading in for an early shift, a tradie starting at first light, or a parent simply trying to get ahead of the day, we are here when you need us.
This is not just childcare. This is the place your child will talk about on the way home.

You Are Part of This Too
Choosing childcare is one of the hardest decisions a parent makes. We know that. And we never take it lightly.
At Cherubs Nerang we treat families as genuine partners in their child’s learning journey. That means open communication, real updates shared throughout the day, and Educators who actually know your child well enough to tell you something specific and meaningful when you come to pick them up.
We welcome every kind of family. Every background, every structure, every story. Our role is to support yours.
If you have been looking for a place where you can go to work and actually be present there, not distracted and not guilty, we would love to show you what that feels like.
The Heart of Everything
You can have beautiful spaces and the best curriculum in the world. What actually matters is the people.
Director Kerry leads our centre with a warmth and steadiness that sets the tone for everything. Families feel it from the first phone call. Children feel it from the first day. Kerry has built a culture here where every Educator shows up not just qualified but genuinely invested in the children in their care.
2IC Molly brings that same commitment to the day-to-day life of the centre, making sure families are supported, routines run smoothly and every child transitions into their day feeling settled and safe.
Early Childhood Teacher Marcelina brings deep expertise and a natural gift for connecting with children at exactly the right level, meeting them where they are and guiding them forward with patience and skill.
Together with our incredible team of local Nerang Educators, they have created something you cannot manufacture. A place where children are genuinely happy to be.
Owned and Operated by People Who Care About More Than the Bottom Line
Cherubs Nerang is owned and operated by Lisa and Ben Peasley, the family behind Cherubs Banora Point.
Lisa has spent over 20 years working in early childhood education across the Tweed and Gold Coast. Since taking on Cherubs just over three years ago, she and Ben have built on 30 years of community history to run a centre at full capacity year round, not through aggressive marketing but through genuine relationships with families and a standard of care that speaks for itself. Lisa is hands on across both centres in a way that families notice and remember.
Ben works behind the scenes managing the business, marketing and growth side of Peasley Co, the company behind both centres. He has been on the steering committee of the SkyPoint Sea to Sky Q1 Stair Challenge for ten years, a major Gold Coast charity event supporting LIVIN’s mental health mission. In 2026 Lisa and Ben are proud sponsors of the event, hosting families and staff from both centres at the top of Q1 on the Gold Coast’s iconic tower. It is the kind of community involvement that reflects who they are, not just what they do.
Lisa and Ben chose Cherubs Nerang because they believed in it. In the team, in the community and in what this centre could become. They are here for the long term.
Rooted in Nerang
At Cherubs Nerang, community is not a page on a website. It is something we live every day.
We proudly acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Yugambeh people, and pay our deepest respects to Elders past, present and emerging. Respect for country and culture is woven into the way we teach and the way we operate.
We are active participants in the Nerang and broader Gold Coast community. Our Educators bring the outside world in through incursions and excursions that connect children to the people and places around them. We mark community events together, build awareness of the world beyond our walls and help children develop a genuine sense of belonging to something bigger than themselves.
This year Lisa and Ben Peasley are proud sponsors of the SkyPoint Sea to Sky Q1 Stair Challenge in support of LIVIN, a charity doing vital work in mental health. Ben has been on the event’s steering committee for a decade. It is a small reflection of the kind of operators who now call Cherubs Nerang home.
Qualified, Committed and Here Because They Want to Be
Every Educator at Cherubs Nerang holds the qualifications you would expect. What you cannot put on a certificate is the reason they get up and come to work every morning.
Our team engages regularly in professional development, critical reflection and peer learning because they are genuinely committed to getting better at what they do. Roles are clearly defined, leadership is strong and supportive, and the culture Kerry has built here is one where Educators thrive.
When Educators are happy, children feel it. It is that simple.

Still not sure about something? Call us, we would rather answer it now than have you wondering.
I have a question about my Child Care Subsidy. Can someone help me work out and optimise what my family is entitled to?
Absolutely. Our management team across both centres is well versed in the Child Care Subsidy and happy to help with questions at any time. If you want to go deeper and really make sure your family is getting every dollar it’s entitled to, Lisa is the person to speak with. She has an exceptional understanding of how the subsidy works in practice and a genuine passion for making sure families aren’t leaving money on the table. Just reach out to reception at either centre and we’ll get you connected with the right person. It costs nothing and for some families makes a significant difference to their out of pocket fees.
What ages do you care for?
We welcome children from 6 weeks to 12 years. Our rooms are Lilli Pilli (babies), Acacia (toddlers), Banksia (kindy) and Waratah (preschool). We also run before and after school care for school age children.
What is included in the daily fee?
Everything your child needs for the day. Our chef Lyn prepares fresh, nutritious meals daily including breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Nappies, wipes and sunscreen are all provided. Families provide their own bedding.
My child has never been in care before. How do you handle the settling in process?
Gently and at your child’s pace, every time. We use a gradual approach where we start with shorter visits and build up over time, and we stay in close contact with you throughout. Some children take to it quickly, others need more time, and both are completely normal. What matters is that your child feels safe and that you feel confident. We’ve helped hundreds of families through this transition and we’ll be with you the whole way.
What does a typical day look like?
Every day has a rhythm but no two days are identical. Mornings usually start with calm open play as children settle in, then move through group experiences, outdoor time, meals, rest and intentional learning activities. Your child’s Educators share updates and moments with you throughout the day via the OWNA app, so you always know how they are going. The best way to get a real feel for it is to come in for a Stay and Play, or explore our centre videos on the website.
What should we bring on the first day?
We’ll go through a full list personalised to your child’s age when you come in for your tour. Generally you’ll need a labelled bag, a change of clothes, a sun hat and your child’s bedding. Everything else, including meals, nappies and wipes, is taken care of by us. Comfort items are very welcome, especially during settling in.
How do I go about enrolling?
It starts with a visit. We always encourage families to come in for a Stay and Play before committing to anything, because the right feel matters more than any brochure. If you’re relocating from interstate, which many of our new families are from Sydney, Melbourne and across the southern states, we completely understand that coming in person isn’t always possible straight away. We’d encourage you to explore our centre tour and room videos on the website, which give you a genuine feel for the space, the rooms and the people before you arrive. When you’re ready to take the next step, reach out and we’ll walk you through everything from there.
Is Free Kindy available?
Yes. Free Kindy is available at our Nerang centre for eligible children in the year before Prep, providing 15 hours per week across 40 weeks of the year completely fee free. Combined with the Child Care Subsidy, many families find their out of pocket costs are significantly lower than expected. Come in or give us a call and we’ll explain exactly how it applies to your family.
