Learning That Means Something

Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, built around the principles of Belonging, Being and Becoming. Alongside the Munch and Move program, these frameworks shape every experience we plan and every decision we make across our Nerang centre.

We believe children learn best through play. Not passive play but rich, intentional, joyful play that stretches their thinking, builds their relationships and gives them real tools for the world. Our Educators balance child-led discovery with thoughtful guidance, making space for curiosity while ensuring every child is growing across all areas of development.

Our program is available for families to view at any time. We actively encourage parents to share what is happening at home because the best learning happens when centre and family are working together.

Wellness and wellbeing at Cherubs Nerang
Wellness and Wellbeing

Healthy, Happy and Ready to Learn

A child who feels well in their body shows up differently. They are more curious, more confident and more ready to connect with others and with ideas.

At Cherubs Nerang, health and wellbeing are not add-ons. They are woven into every part of the day. Our Educators model healthy habits, encourage physical activity and design experiences that build strength, coordination and emotional resilience alongside each other.

Through the Munch and Move program we help children understand what it means to look after themselves, from what they eat to how they move to how they rest. These are habits that stay with them.

Nutrition

Food That Fuels Little Learners

We are a registered Munch and Move centre and proud of it. All meals are provided daily, so there is one less thing on your plate as a parent. Our approach to nutrition is simple. Fresh, balanced, nourishing food served in an environment that makes healthy eating feel normal and enjoyable.

Our Educators lead food preparation and cooking experiences that connect children to where food comes from, including fresh produce from our own organic garden.

We cater for all dietary needs, allergies and cultural requirements without fuss, because every child deserves to feel included at the table.

We follow the Australian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines for the Early Years and incorporate all 13 NSW Fundamental Movement Skills into our weekly program. Movement and nutrition work together here, not as programs but as part of who we are.
